MATCH 2 Statistics and Review

WHAT A MATCH!!! What a comeback by the Spartans!!
Trailing 4-0 at one point in the match Spartans snatch victory from the jaws of defeat and register their first win of the season. Goals from Manas, Vijay(2), Aditya and a winner from Yegnesh hands Vikings a stunning defeat.

A dazzling debut by the "THE HULK" Hrishikesh is worth a mention. He was an absolute rock for the Spartans never letting anybody past him. Also some mindblowing saves from Anoop Pillai in the Spartans goal raises hope that Veenith's successor is finally living upto his standards. JK was in fine form but was thwarted by some solid defending by the Spartans. Ashish's match was cut short due to a minor toe injury.

I would also like to applaud the Vikings for coming out and playing with an attacking intent even though they were leading my 3 goals, and for not defending to protect their lead which would have made the game boring.

It was really a memorable match....
Very well played guys...

Lets be more serious about the timings and booking the grounds here after.....

The bigger the ground last match more exciting it could have been....

Yeah... I think v shd get jerseys... its high time v had a jersey...
But der is one prob.. If ppl from diff teams wear the jersey on d same day then it'll b a prob while playing...

V need to find a solution to dt before going ahead with the jerseys....

1. Either have a fixed team for all matches
Definitely that is not possible

2. Every1 will have 2 jerseys 1.Spartans 2.Vikings
based on match pack decided on Friday we ll have to wear that


Or think about that (Red-Blue) nets which they wear in trainings that will have dual color in same shirt

good suggestion about the jersey, but the issue is that team members availability and the team they play for that day.....

so my suggestion is get the jerseys done for atleast 16 people and in one size which would fit everyone and hand over one to each and ask them to get it on the day they come..

we can exchange on the basis of who is playing in which team...

Let us Calculate the cost of
1) 2 jerseys
2) 1 jersey with 2 Netted jerseys for differentiation

Whichever is an inexpensive option v'll go for it.. Because the juniors may want to buy new shoes and They are still new. Financially it may be a burden if dey hv to buy 2 jerseys and studs all at a time.

The Weather was not too conducive.. to much of polllen in the air.. also the direction of the wind and the rotation of the earth also made it diffucult for the opposite team to score.. oh n there was MANAS of course.. lolz.. good match.

@JK - It wud b betta if u post the actual costs for both combinations in the forum n let the ppl decide wt dey prefer.

I, personally hv no prob with both combos... Am ready for both.

@Adi - In decathlon evrythin related to soccer ws for kids.. All kiddie sizes...

The idea of netted jersey sounds good n feasible...only constraint will be the design...
Its gonna be simple n any kind of personalization wont be possible...

Also for the info of newbies, let us know from where to get good studs n also give an approximate idea of the cost...

1st query - My personal opinion is that u shd buy Nivia.. Cos it is not as costly as the ones in nike, Adidas or reebok. Also the quality is really gud. Currently i am using my 3rd studs.. All hv been Nivia. Dey hv served me very wel.. D latest one cost me Rs. 680..

U can also find othr companies like Vector X, Star Impact etc.. Am not sure hw long dey last..

If u plan to go for a nivia studs then b sure that u dnt buy the one with yellow sole and round studs.. The soles wear off sooner... Contact Chandan for review... He had them..
In nivia ask for studs wid blades.. not round studs... I think dey are called Nivia Ultra..

2nd Query -
IN Regular Points, a win and a goal hv 1 point each.Own goal is -1. No other factors are considered.

IN POTS points, the factors considered are
1) No of matches played
2) No of wins
3) No of draws
4) No of goals
5) No of own goals
6) No of Clean Sheets
7) Win percentage
Penalty Points(latest addition)

All these factors are considered but each factor is assigned a particular weight-age depending on the difficulty level.
For example:
A Clean Sheet will have more weight-age than a goal since Clean Sheets are very very rare.
A win will have more weight-age than a draw.
Also Win percentage has the most weight-age. This is done so that players don't become selfish to gain more points. Players should realize that a team comes before an individual and should contribute to the team's cause than his own statistics. Hence most weight-age is given to the Win Percentage since it'll tell how many matches the player has helped his team to win.

EXACT WEIGHT-AGES AND FORMULA WILL NOT BE DISCLOSED.

first of all nice work done in cleaning up the mess...i am very pleased to see that SECFC has a new begining....congrats to manas,i think, for spending his "precious" office time on completely giving a new look to the forum and...but i dont understand the messi thing..does it keep changing..or is the admin is his fan.....anyway my wishes to all the new players for ur future in this club....and of course the old ones....all the best
